SQLAB 711 TECH & TRAIL 2.0 GRIPS
The SQlab 711 Tech & Trail 2.0 is an elite, high-performance handlebar grip purpose-built for marathon racing, cross-country, and aggressive trail riding. Designed to reduce hand fatigue on long-distance routes, this grip packs the orthopedic comfort of a touring wing grip into a slim, race-focused profile that maximizes bike control.
Elite Race Performance & Ergonomic Architecture
- Flat Contact Profile: Traditional grips are round, but the 711 breaks the mold with a contact surface that is "as round as necessary and as flat as possible." By flattening the outer zone where your palm rests, it dramatically slashes localized pressure peaks to stop hand numbness during demanding marathon races.
- The Ergobar Bottom: Human fingers are naturally angular when curled. The front and underside of the 711 feature a wave-shaped "Ergobar" contour that forms a flat, slightly squared ridge. This provides a highly secure form-fit for your fingertips, allowing you to guide the bike with a loose, relaxed hold while maintaining absolute trail authority.
- Inward Lock-on Clamping: To optimize cushioning on the hand's high-impact outer edge, SQlab moved the aluminum lock ring to the inside. Additionally, the outer rubber edge is pulled slightly upwards to create a soft, shock-absorbing zone that isolates your ulnar nerve from trail chatter.
- Premium Material Compounding: Molded from an advanced, high-friction Shock Absorption Compound, these grips offer unparalleled traction under heavy exertion. The premium compound guarantees an exceptionally long service life and completely eliminates the sticky breakdown common in standard rubber formulas.
- Size-Specific Scaling: To ensure your fingers wrap perfectly around the Ergobar zones, choose your grip size based on your hand's anatomy. The 711 scales systematically across Small, Medium, and Large sizes in both outer diameter and localized contours (grip length remains consistent).
How to Measure Your SQlab Grip Size
To find your ideal size, measure the distance from the tip of your middle finger to the crook of your thumb. Selecting the correct size maximizes your contact area, lowers forearm pump, and keeps your hands fresh through tough singletrack sessions and quick after-work trail rides.
